Polarized sun lenses
How is glare created?
By reflecting off shiny surfaces (sea, windshield, snow, sand, etc.), light creates parasitic reflections, thus causing visual discomfort and dazzling.
The light that reaches the eye vertically makes it possible to distinguish contrasts and colours, while horizontal light, which is therefore reflected on a surface, causes parasitic reflections.
A polarizing lens has a filter that blocks 90% of these horizontally reflected rays while letting through vertical, so-called “useful” light. This is called polarized light. It thus eliminates glare due to light reverberation.
